What Do Cloud Clients Want?
In a crowded marketplace, it’s hard to distinguish yourself from the competition. With so many providers heading to the bottom of the barrel on pricing, it seems relevant to stop and think for a moment: is this what our customers really want? Sure, the practice looks good on the bottom line to a business owner; but if the technology being utilized isn’t understood or providing real benefits the return on investment is lackluster anyways. From our experience and observations here at The Data Vault, these are the three things we’ve found that clients desire above all else:
Using hypothetical jargon and abstract concepts does nothing but confuse the average person when it comes to technology like cloud computing. Instead of assuming that our audience already knows the lay of the land, we prefer to start from the ground up in our discussions to ensure that each person understands the true organizational benefits to be had from an integrated digital solution.
Complex pricing schemes can lead to a lack of trust for most managers, masking the true costs of a service. Breaking it down into transparent structures can help reassure organizations that they are only paying for what is necessary without hidden costs and under utilized services. Scaleability and flexibility are also key, allowing for increases or decreases in service based on the constant changes that most companies face today.
This concept is by far the most important one, yet is often the least addressed. Having robust and readily accessible contact means (via email, phone, or chat system) can ensure that when a disaster strikes or problems arise, support for the service is readily available. Even for routine maintenance it can be valuable to have a lifeline to the core provider of the service, allowing for deeper questioning and understanding of the solution.
Here at The Data Vault, we prefer to be thought of more as partners than vendors when it comes to providing our services. As the modern business environment changes, we’re here to help you adapt and overcome the challenges by offering quality services without the confusion present in many of our competitors.
