The Data Vault Achieves Privacy+ and SSAE 16 Certification
Following a rigorous auditing process, regional information management firm The Data Vault has officially completed the Professional Records and Information Management (PRISM) Privacy+ and Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16 certifications.
Administered by PRISM International of Chicago, the Privacy+ program is an international program open to companies providing storage and protection of hard-copy records and various offline removable computer media types. The Privacy+ certification is a voluntary process that allows companies to publicly demonstrate their commitment to protecting the privacy of information entrusted to them by their clients.
SSAE 16 is an internationally recognized standard developed by the Auditing Standards Board (ASB) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, designed to certify firms complying with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Developed specifically with publicly traded companies and financial services firms in mind, this certification is conducted by an independent third party auditing company and is a benchmark for any entities wishing to conduct business in those sectors.
As an industry leading records management firm, The Data Vault is the only locally owned and operated vendor in the Louisville market with both Privacy+ and SSAE 16 certifications that also has membership in the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) and the Data Protection Association (DPA). The company is committed to safeguarding the privacy and security of client information managed by the firm, and achieving these new high level certifications demonstrates the depth of that commitment.
